  1. Mid American Energy Advantage® Financing Program
  2. Alliant Energy Efficiency Solutions Program

Mid American Energy Advantage® Financing Program

Qualifying Criteria For Windows:

  • Financing is available to Iowa residential customers that purchase qualifying windows (all Renewal by Andersen windows qualify). This program is effective July 1, 2001
  • MidAmerican Energy must directly supply primary heating fuel.
  • Financing applications must be complete within three months of window installation in existing home. Customers may call MidAmerican Energy at (800) 894-9599 to apply for financing over the phone. First American Bank makes all credit decisions.
  • An itemized and dated invoice from the contractor, wholesaler or supplier that includes manufacturer, model and serial number information must be provided to MidAmerican Energy.
  • A window dealer recognized by MidAmerican Energy must install new windows in a conditioned space (Renewal by Andersen is a recognized dealer).
  • All windows must include a new frame. Sash-only replacement is not eligible (all Renewal by Andersen windows include a frame).
  • Windows must bear the NFRC label to be considered certified. MidAmerican Energy will verify efficiencies of windows using the most recent editions of the NFRC certification directory. Please retain all NFRC labels until verification. NFRC labels must be submitted with the invoice for each individual window that is being installed.
  • Professionally manufactured Low-E windows must meet a minimum NFRC rating of .40 Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SCGC) and a .35 U-Value (Renewal by Andersen windows have a SHGC rating of between .30 and .33 depending on window style and a U-Value between .31 and .33 depending on window style. Remember that the lower these numbers are the better the energy rating).
  • MidAmerican reserves the right to verify installations at any time. In most cases, field verifications will be performed.

Additional information:

  • Initial interest rates are 0.50% less than Prime for residential loans. Rates are subject to change without notice.
  • Interest rates are fixed for the term of the loan. The length of the loan can be between 12 and 48 months. Six-months-same-as-cash is available.
  • The loan amount must meet minimum of $1,000.00 and not exceed $10,000.00 (Amounts for over $10,000.00 are available with closing costs. Ask for details).
  • Loan proceeds will be delivered from First American by a jointly payable check to the customer and Renewal by Andersen of Des Moines.
  • The loan application process is simple, with no forms to fill out. Loan documentation can be completed by mail in most cases, so it is not necessary for customers to visit a bank office.
